When I was just one year old my family started one of British Columbia’s first health food stores in Salmon Arm. (The taste of carob and tofu lingers.) I’ve been “in health food” ever since.
Today I help Natural Health and Wellness companies attract and retain customers with social media tools like Blogging, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
- In 2009 I directed the web strategy for a new probiotic category. Channels included website, blog, youtube, twitter, facebook and media release distribution. A successful twitter promotion helped spark consumer and retailer buy-in, attract national media coverage, and identify key strategic alliances.
- I’ve served as Social Media Manager for two national NHP brands.
- As an outside consultant, I’ve helped a variety of natural health related businesses understand and leverage social media.
- I presented my social media insights (The GIVE Principles) to the membership at the Canadian Health Food Association’s Expo West 2010.
